It was just a wise-crack, used to display the long odds that the Longhorns face tonight.I don't agree that Texas playing UCONN in Connecticut is akin to playing the Globetrotters in Harlem.
Every game was like a home game for them (Globetrotters). They were universally loved and the road crowds always cheered for them to beat the Generals just as any home crowd would do.
Scenario could quite possibly be the best rap collaboration song ever recorded.
You've got to be kidding.

I’m all for turning the keys to the bus to a young player that can take his lumps in an otherwise wasted season
Fair enough. Just seemed like a silly question considering how we played last season.I don't think that's what he meant.
He asked if they would play well enough to finish in the top two of the Big 12 and if that would propel them to a top 10 class.
Ok, except Reese's resume blows away DKR's in basically every way possible, except it's not football.
Not one of my favorite ATCQ songs. Personal taste.Ketch no love for "I left my wallet in El Segundo"?
You can't get in this year unless your program has been in trouble for breaking the rules.Let's not forget UNC's FF berth in the face of NCAA scandal.
5 weeks running...How can this be #1? It is one of the most irritating songs in music history.
You give the American team too much credit.@Ketchum - it is near borderline criminal to mention US soccer whether USMNT or MLS and the words "world class" together.
"World class" is thrown around too much as it is in soccer and the USMNT team looks more like a squad of Sunday players from Wales than a force in Intl soccer.
It was more than selection on their part. They flunked the test a year ago, but they seem to have crib notes ready to go after winning a Big 12 title and making the final four.OU recruits a lot better in the Metroplex than it does in Houston and SE Texas. The pool of top prospects from DFW was uncharacteristically smaller last year, which could account for the Sooners' lack of recruiting success in Texas. With a greater preponderence of top prospects in the Metroplex this year, OU appears to be doing well early.
The issue is if you're going to win six or seven games this year, do it with an investment for the future. Let the kid go through the growing pains now instead of in yet another future season.Young player sure...never have been in favor of starting ANY true fish at QB. I'd rather see a redshirt than shattered confidence and/or injury. One of those two always seems to be an almost guaranteed result. As bad as Swoopes/Heard have been, I'm not believing a fish Buechele has a better record for this team. Might as well save him and clinch cheeks for one more season.
I'm still holding out hope Gilbert can swing one of them out of this funk.
Kool-Aid season brings forward lots of silly questions.Fair enough. Just seemed like a silly question considering how we played last season.
That's Geno Auriemma territory.
The championship appendage?Man I hear you, but it pains me to put that donkey appendage - you choose the appendage - in the same class as Coach Reese.
Great write up. Thanks.
You want be to bark once for yes, twice for no?@Ketchum is there any truth to the rumors that Kai is in the dog house?
I think the cohesion in practice is a part of it. There are portions of this staff that are entering new territory in terms of methodology and everyone seems to be on the same page.Could you please elaborate on how the coaches are in sync? That's obviously nice to hear, but I'm curious what you've seen or heard that makes you feel that way.
a. At this point, it was a huge mistake for him to come to Texas.- Kai is on my transfer watch list. I'm not convinced he will switch to WR.
- When Longhorn fans see TCU go from 4-8 to 12-1 in 2014, I can see why somebody might think it's possible to finish in the top two.
- Betting on Swoopes is super risky, but no quarterback appears to be a sure bet right now.
- First kicker to miss during the spring game goes home.
- Is Buddy Hield this year's Jimmy Fredette (looks great in college, but it may not translate on the next level)?

Honestly, I also wondered about the chemistry of the group behind the scenes, but that doesn't seem to be an issue at all from what I've heard.

@Ketchum so you are not going to answer my question?
It's nothing sinister. I think the staff would prefer he simply move to wide receiver and might be frustrated that he's not a willing subject at this point.Okay, let me try this again then...can you elaborate as to why? @Ketchum

Honestly, I'm pretty torn.Who do you want the Cowboys to draft Ketch? I know it might not now pay off next year, but I think the Cowboys should look to the future and draft a QB in the 1st round. How long will it be until they have the 4th overall pick again?
