If Del Conte has a true banger of a head coach waiting to happen, then so be it, but if there's no sure-thing guarantee on the box out there, it's hard to debate that Terry is making one hell of a claim for the job that gets stronger with every game that is won in the Tournament.

Been saying for three months that 25+ wins and at least a Sweet 16 would make it hard for CDC to not give him the job. Good to see you finally coming. Look at the body of work for this team and you see there aren’t maybe but 4 or 5 better seasons in 50+ years of Texas hoops.

Do you take Terry or the field right now as a guess?

I really like the Cooks trade and giving up so little while keeping your draft together.

I feel like North and South should be higher. Not sure why, as I was probably 6 but it seemed like a really big deal back then.

Good stuff as always.

Thanks, great column-

I’m still blown that you hadn’t seen glengarry glen ross until a few months ago, you’re my go to critic.

Have you done Nicolas Cage top 10 before? If so was Wild at Heart in it?
I don't think I have. He's got a new movie coming out. Maybe next week.

I do have a few random blind spots, but it's surprising that one would be a 90s movie.

I remember having to read the book as a freshman in high school I believe. And thinking to myself I wish they would make it a movie because it would be great. Well the movie wasn’t ”great” but it was pretty good. The casting was however “great”.
I love the movie. Maybe it's because I was 7 when it came out.

@BlakeSkaggs @TheExec @Anwar Richardson anybody have my coaching rankings ? Asking for a friend ! I think Million Dollar Bo Davis was 9 or 10 I can’t remember

“Weirdly, every single one of those players outside of the Jack position is currently filled with Tom Herman-recruited players, which serves as a reminder that Bo Davis has only landed one super-blue prospect (Colton Vasek) since he returned to the Texas program back in January of 2021.” Thank you @Ketchum for this Sunday nugget

‘Red Dawn’ is AWESOME- first PG-13 Movie should be No. 1…

Jennifer Grey from ‘Red Dawn’ and ‘Dirty Dancing’ pre-nosejob was smokin’

Did you ever watch the sailing movie ‘Wind’ with her?

I haven't. Was I supposed to?

I mean... this is all stuff I have been saying.

The #1 most rewatchable movie on cable. EVER! Is Shawshank.

Roadhouse is very good and if not on cable, Kelly Lynch is delicious, but nobody puts Shawshank in the corner.

#teamroadhouse

The strength of this basketball team is that they make it totally uncomfortable for their opponents. This team also is incredibly tight. Absolutely must give a big hand to the team doing what is best for the TEAM and for RT holding it all together. I also believe the assistant coaches of this team do an outstanding job

One key factor that needs to be considered with the hiring of Terry is whether he can keep the staff together. If everyone stays, that makes him much more desirable than if other key coaches leave.

I totally get that. I wouldn't argue it being moved up to 5 or 6.

Tweaking @Not Ketch ‘s question.

B/S: QE will have a good enough year that it puts him in the mix as the possible No. 1 pick in the first round of the 2024 draft.

Texas beats Xavier and faces Cougar High for birth in Final Four (that will be an awesome game).

The Cowboys moves this off-season have been genius and didn’t cost the Cowboys any of their draft picks, but shored up two areas of concern: CB & WR. They are 1 DT away from being the best defense in the NFL.

For me, Swayze’s best movie will always be Bodhi in Point Break, followed by Red Dawn, then Roadhouse and Outsiders. I know that Dirty Dancing is popular like Kim Kardashian is popular, but both are still trash.

Some other 6th men in UT basketball history who deserve a shout out (not saying these guys are better than Rice this year, but I'd rank several above Kai Jones)...

The criteria is if they started less than 50% of the games, I'm listing them:

2000 Chris Owens (9.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg)
2000 Darren Kelly (10 ppg, 45% 3PT)
2004 PJ Tucker (10.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg)
2010 Gary Johnson (9.4 ppg, 5.6 rpg)
2011 JCovan Brown (10.4 ppg, 39% 3pt)
2013 Sheldon McClellan (13.5 ppg)
2015 Myles Turner (10 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.6 bpg)
2015 Javan Felix (8.7 ppg, 39.2% 3pt)
2020 Andrew Jones (11.5 ppg, 38% 3pt)

Out of this list, the one I would probably rank ahead of Rice would be Myles Turner.
