My lame thoughts:
1. CeeDee Lamb is the 4th best Cowboy receiver to wear 88...there's no way he's top 2-3. That's not even counting Bob Hayes so Lamb isn't close to top 5 all time.

2. Your top 10 Eastwood list is pretty week. Did a woman make the list?

3. I would argue that Yordon Alvarez' game 1 homer against Seattle and game 6 shot against Philly are far more impressive than anything Otani has done at the plate.

Fantastic write up sir. I’m stunned L S U is backing off on Simmons. It ain’t over til it’s over is what I love about Sarks recruiting prowess. Banks, et other linemen from 22’ A Hill last year, even swinging and missing on Perkins two years ago, he’d never quit which is why I agree w you that Hudson or Wingo, I assume these are who you were thinking of when you said we’d have a 5* W R, will be part of this class.

I only quibble with Bridges; it's the only film that could be listed in some other lead actor’s list (Meryl Streep) and, to me, lacks the quintessential Clint verve. But it’s a minor nit to pick over a formidable list.

Gonna go watch me some Clint movies now, thank you very much.

Clint is great in that movie. It's a different side to him.

An Eastwood list is a brutal task. I like yours. Personally where eagles dare has to be on mine and sentimental favorite is Kelly’s Heroes. The cast on that is killer. I don’t quibble with your choices and it makes me want to hit a few of them.

I guess I thought it was common knowledge, but when LSU got sanctioned that was the nail in the coffin as far as the Simmons family was concerned. Even though the penalties were largely retroactive and the actions happened under a different coach, the family did not like what it meant for culture and institutional control. It was certainly trending our way, but that news effectively shut the door.

For similar reasons, at no point between now and signing day do I see the ags getting in the mix.

1. If Lamb just matches his numbers in the next three seasons that he's posted in the first three, he'll have

520 receptions for 6,782 yards and 40 touchdowns

Dez Bryant has 531 receptions for 7459 yards and 73 touchdowns
Drew Pearson had 488 receptions for 7,822 yards and 67 touchdowns
Tony Hill had 479 receptions for 7,988 yards and 51 touchdowns.

Those are the main three in front of him. It's not crazy to think he finishes second to Irvin in career numbers across the board.
