I’m thinking that we will be mostly ready to in case, but we need to make sure he’s healed.Sam practicing means he should get the nod

Hey you got a bunch of Euro soccer updates. Whadda you wantNot a single thought, at least a word or two on the World Series?
Kind of odd IYAM.
Those popcorn pick strips of DJs were a thing of beauty.Oh, I do. That 2004 Texas-OU game was one of his masterpieces.
I think brain injuries require more time.
It's like OBs have missed the whole news cycle re concussions, CTE - it's amazing - it's not a "rub some dirt on it" injury.
It tells you a lot about our fans and how they really feel about the students that choose to play at Texas, their health be damned as long as "their" guy gets the start.
That's not what anyone suggested. What's his record against Klopp, just for the record? He did and accomplished his goal. Mou continues to do his thing. Nah, he’s never won anything of note.
let's see your top five. That's such a bizarrely random and inaccurate statement. On so many levels.
Ok.I think it’s cute when you try to pretend that you’re not a fan of the program.
It means the thing that makes them go (Elliott) won;'t be around for the next six weeks, potentially.@Ketchum what does the different Dallas team comment mean?
1. It's not an awesome year in-state at that position and Texas started behind the eight-ball with a few. Pluus, the staff hasn't been very good in that area, if we're being honest.1. Why are we not seeing more DL recruits wanting to play at Texas after the year they have had on D?
2. How many de-commitments do you think we have?
3. How many transfers do you see for this year any 2 deep?
good post@Ketchum
"What I won't allow is for Beck to be slotted into a spot where he gets ALL the blame when things go bad and NONE of the credit when things go good."
Good for you bud. I am by no means a fan of Beck. I think I have seen enough to state he isn't going to call games that will get us to a championship level. I think.
What I do know is this.
This o line is horrendous.
Neither qb fits what HERMAN wants to do.
He is trotting out a true freshman or true sophomore behind this o line. That is a scary proposition with a good o line.
Little to no run game to lean on. (Maybe that is changing with the young guys)
There is a lot of variables to consider before yelling fire in a crowded theater on this offense.....yet. Beck called probably his best game of the year this weekend. Let's see if they can build on it going forward.
a.It was one section out of 10, so even if you thought it was a waste, there were nine other sections. If Ehlinger is available and Texas plays him, this article is waste of time. Just, weird.
I love the number of doctors we have on this site, especially the concussion experts.
I’m no head doc but I’ve had a diagnosed consission due to a auto accident. After that experience I will always defer to the experts over journalists and coaches.
agreed. It's amazing to hear people basically call you a jerk (nicely putting it) for not stressing football first. It's like OBs have missed the whole news cycle re concussions, CTE - it's amazing - it's not a "rub some dirt on it" injury.
It tells you a lot about our fans and how they really feel about the students that choose to play at Texas, their health be damned as long as "their" guy gets the start.
a. Who pretended that the staff works in a static universe.Pretending that this staff operates in a static universe is intellectually lazy.
Ignoring reports (by another site ) that Mehringer moved from the field to the booth is intellectually lazy.
Seeing a dramatic change in playcalling the week that he goes to the booth is probably just circumstantial.
Are these proof of anything? No. Is it reasonable to speculate that Mehringer, a former playcaller moving to the booth was done to affect the playcalling? Uh, yeah.
I don't really care if he has a good week. I'd be more cautious.Yet he was cleared.
If he’s medically fit and has s good week I’m definitely starting him and I bet Herman does too
You can't be too careful. That's what I'm a proponent of... carefulness. You’re not a doctor Ketch, c’mon, and even if you were a brain surgeon you haven’t diagnosed Sam. It’s just so speculative for any of us to opine on complicated medical situations none of us know anything about.
Don’t you think the the UT doctors (and probably other doctors offering 2nd opinions) are being very careful with this young man?
I posted it in the middle of game five. Kind of hard to comment too much without knowing the outcome of a critical game five. Not a single thought, at least a word or two on the World Series?
Kind of odd IYAM.
A bunch = one photo and one comment. Basically, less than 15 words, but feel free to keep building that strawman.Hey you got a bunch of Euro soccer updates. Whadda you want
He has IMO.Sobering reality about the lack of improvement on offense. And I'm not at all sure Vahe has improved.
Tom Herman.Agree.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Sam has an adult male figure in his life lookikg out for his long term interests with father no longer with us.
Because #5, #6, #7 or #8 are LOL and would embarrass them on any daywhy would it be a joke?

And I didn't feel like getting into it over a particular Astros player.
I guess we're pretending like that game in Columbus didn't happen or doesn't matter a month later...Because #5, #6, #7 or #8 are LOL and would embarrass them on any day
American Hero
Agreed. How much more value does playing Sam this year add versus the possibility of having him sustain another concussion? You can't be too careful. That's what I'm a proponent of... carefulness.
let's see your top five.
* I hate that the Eagles are good.
I haven't seen anything from any Big 12 team that makes me think they belong in the playoff. Certainly not from OU. I'm as big a B12 homer as I can be, and I think our depth is as good as any conference in the land, but we don't have any clear powers at the top end. Texas will be there soon, but in the meantime I think the B12 will (and should) miss the CFP this year.why would it be a joke?
easy now. That's getting a little carried away IMO.My response was not really about list 5 other decommits that were more important, but rather the gushing of what his presence would be to this offense, SPECIFICALLY in light of how Brewer has played. I have NO doubt that as early as next season, Brewer will be a better TE than Smythe has shown in his Domer career. Essentially Brewer is on course to be a bigger version of David Thomas.
did you miss the flag planting in Columbus?I haven't seen anything from any Big 12 team that makes me think they belong in the playoff. Certainly not from OU.
