Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (The next Texas 5 star...)

I was just about to say there isn’t a single black guy out there that would rank BOB as their #1 song, but I’m certainly now wrong.

But I’ll say this. In the same way people consider Eminem one of the best rappers ever, you won’t ever hear him being played in any locker room.

Same with BOB. It’s the white person song of choice along with Hey Ya. Just sayin

Another way to put it in context….BOB deserves its place in the pantheon of rap, but if you listen to 8Ball & MJG you don’t have BOB in your top 10.

Bull…

It turned into a pop song due to how phenomenal it was, not the other way around. I pretty much listened to nothing but southern rap during that time and 8 ball and MJG was elementary compared to the lyrics and production of even OutKast’s earliest albums. The only duo that belongs in the same breath as OutKast is UGK., and the only group as influential in southern rap as OutKast is three six mafia.

For some reason, I rewatched much of the Alamo Bowl tonight. I expect Casey Cain will cause college DBs some trouble this year. He likely won’t put up massive numbers because he won’t get the snaps. But he will have a number of important catches.

Your list is wrong if it doesn’t have Rosa Parks in the top ten…lol!!!
“Ah-ha, hush that fuss
Everybody move to the back of the bus
Do you wanna bump and slump wit' us?
We the type of people make the club get crunk”

Why a soft increase???? Alabama is gonna offer him the Alabama gig if we are not aggressive. This is Sabans last year in Tuscaloosa.
Alabama would not replace Saban with a career .500 coach. They’ll go big and proven, like we tried to do with Meyer.

Damn, with all the Subway blowback, maybe a Top 10 subs is in the works.

Does anyone remember Mr. Goodcents subs on Riverside back in the day (90’s)? I always loved their subs.

Where the hell are you getting that crap?!? No way that happens.

Caicedo was embarrassing for Liverpool. Just eat it. Also, Chelsea may have looked shaky early today but 65% possession don't lie. Very bullish on the Blues.
Chelsea is gonna rock it this year. Not saying they win it all, but definitely will be in the mix for Top 4.

As an aside, I love watching Ketch try and act like he’s an EPL guy now…just because he has followed The Reds for a decade (no real allegiance…he just picked a team to follow back then) doesn’t make you a real fan. It’s one of the few things I like busting his balls ⚽️ on. 😎

A valuable reserve for sure and once AD and X leave he will get more run

Unless he wins the national championship this year, why in the wide world of sports would Bama want Sark?
Billy Wagner - 6’3” 221lbs
Collin Simmons - 6’3” 225lbs
I've brought this up, but Simmons burst is so ultra elite, that it's worth the extra star.
I cannot believe you listed B.O.B at #1. I'm convinced you're trolling after the best rap song of all time comment.
Yeah, it's a good song, but way too busy. Too much going on, like audio diarrhea. I guess you could say that about a bunch of outkast songs. It's like they're trying to force pop, rock, and rap all into one sound.

50th on their "The 50 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of All Time" list, and 39th on their "500 Greatest Songs of All Time
This looks like a recruit's ranking in the middle of a ranking update. How's recruit x ranked 70th in the state and 50th nationally?
Any Outkast song list is difficult.
Username checks out.
OMG, Potbelly must be terrible in Austin! Everywhere else I have been Potbelly >>>>>> Subway.
Yeah but you have to consider the source. @Ketchum thinks chicken wings are a food group. ;)

Wow, about fell out of my chair from your Subway answer. Your area must have the most uncommonly kick-ass Subway's in Texas. In DFW, I'd put Potbelly near the top, and Subway probably dead last.

I would not. It’s all about how he does in 2024 in the SEC. If we do well, make the highest paid coach in the US.

Quick question. I know baseball has a restricted amount of full rides. Is this a UT thing, an NCAA thing? If we are going to use NIL to get better in baseball, would the number of full rides make the most impact?
It is an NCAA scholarship limit.

No. 8 – BUY or SELL …

(Sell) I think Texas will get both, but it's going to take a little more to put the Longhorns into the top five. It's going to be close, but I'll take 6-10 at this point.
If Texas gets Baker and Black and all of their commits maintain their current numerical rankings, that would give them 5 top 70 players with at least 2 five stars. Just adding a 2 or 3 more low or mid 4 stars would almost certainly vault Texas ahead of currently ranked #4, Notre Dame which has 4 top 70 commits and no 5-stars and maybe even past #3 Florida, currently with 6 top 70 and one 5-star. At that point Texas would have similar overall numbers but more top end players, assuming those schools didn't pick up more super blues.

Those kinds of numbers probably puts Texas in the top 5 of the last 5 classes. In fact, by just adding Black and Baker, the number of super blues in the 24 class would be higher than what Texas signed in their 5th ranked 2022 class and their 4th ranked 2019 class. Adding a few more lower level 4 stars should push some of the 2 and 3 stars out of the calculation.

From Wikipedia:

Rolling Stone ranked it 21st on their "100 Best Songs of the 2000s list, 50th on their "The 50 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of All Time" list, and 39th on their "500 Greatest Songs of All Time".[10][11][12] Pitchfork ranked it first on their "The Top 200 Tracks of the 2000s" list.[13] Bested only by Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean", it was ranked second on Blender's "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" list.[14] Complex ranked it third on their "The 100 Best Songs of the 2000s" list.[15] The Ringer and The Guardian both ranked the song number one on their lists of the greatest Outkast songs.[16][12]
Rolling Stone is not where I go for Hip Hop expertise

You lost me at you prefer Subway. Lol
I’m amazed how many people don’t understand the context of his statement. He’s not saying Subway is good. He’s saying the other is sooooo freaking bad that he thinks Subway is better.

It’s as if someone asked me what I think about Under Armour golf shoes, and I said that I’d rather wear flip flops playing golf. I don’t really want to wear flip flops, it’s just the UA shoes are so uncomfortable that I’m trying to explain how bad I view them.
