Ketch's 10 Thoughts From the Weekend (The worm sure does turn fast these days...)

Thank you for saying I'll duck now because I will definitely aim lower. And just for that, I hope that, next Saturday at noon @ the ALAMODOME in San Antonio, Texas, The Corpus Christi Calallen Wildcats plays smear the queer against the AUSTIN MCCALLUM KNIGHTS!!!!!!

Good luck. This Knights squad is rolling.

The last time a program hired away a coach with a national championship on his resume from the school he won the championship?

40 years.

Not hyperbole.
All you do in hyperbole but in this case it is actually warranted. I hope like hell it blows up in their face but his record says it probably won’t.

Wasn't easy to write. I miss it when the job was fun.
It will be that way again soon. There is a lot of hangover in the fan base, Media and team from the last 10 years. Rome want built in a day and any rebuild by previous staffs was inadequate and irrelevant to what Herman is building. Well all took an extra helping of koolaide the minute Herman was hired and now here all drinking pepto bismol. While it was not nearly as good as we thought it’s not nearly as bad as we think.

Actually, I'm very analytical and grounded. Not nearly as much hyperbole as you might want to believe.

I'm concerned this Texas team isn't as good as those that played USC, Oklahoma or Oklahoma State.

And with all due respect Mizzou is no where near the caliber of a team as USC, OU, or OSU.

They are pretty similar in quality to Texas Tech and it took one of our worse games of the season and some inexplicable late game decisions for Tech to pull that one out.

If Texas has a game against Mizzou like we did USC we will beat them by 4 touchdowns.

a. They still believe he's elite.

b. I have doubts, but leave the door of possibilities open.
I have this eerie feeling that Herman never gets over the hump in Austin, but moves on to another program to take them to the next level. Just a feeling since we're snake bitten.

I’ve posted on several OB member posts that I hope OU wins against UGA, and was threatened, your opinion?

Missouri would beat Tech by double digits.

No one can do what Auburn did to the Tide? Lulz. Clemson is going to run a train on them. That defensive line of Clemson is nasty. A jag like Hurts is toast.

Fisher the most dynamic hire ever? Hyperbole much? The hire and terms in my opinion were/are monumentally stupid. $75 mm GUARANTEED?!?!?! Are you kidding me? To a guy who just got run out of Tallahassee, and was plainly slipping.

Your saying what A&M did was a big boy move because “they are in it to win it”, is tantamount to praising someone for borrowing money to play blackjack and putting everything into one hand. If he sucks in 3 years they will have to pay that guy $75 mm. Think about that.

C’mon Ketch. Be better

No kidding and hyperbole is right.

When Texas scored 10 points in regulation? That game?

He doesn’t need to be an elite coach per se.

He needs to be an elite program builder.

A great head coach is a great program builder: recruiting, development, process, winning.
we're splitting language hairs.

I have a buddy who is a rabid Florida State guy. Here’s his take on Jimbo to aggroid:

Man, they have no idea how damaged that cargo is. The divorce ruined him, and turned him into a bitter, churlish pain in the ass. (With a $40 million buyout if we had to boot him.). Hated to break it to an Ag that UT's coach already handed him his ass without Power 5 conference talent, he knows the state, and the state high schools run his offense, not Jimbo's. . . But what do you want for nearly $100 million.

A&M being A&M.

I still am fun. I can't make this team stop being 6-7, 5-7., 5-7 and 6-6.

Been here a long time. You are not same guy. Obviously you have been successful. So have I. You burn out. Stress, family, demands in general, shitty clients, boredom.
