Bingo. Expect to see it as a media narrative this week. The calls have all been made.Which one? That we have no talent?

The quarterback position is the most important aspect in all of college football.Sark and his staff are up to the plate big time. Let’s see how they respond for the remaining games and the off season portal efforts.
This is all I care about.
Worrying about CT or Card isn’t relevant to me anymore for this year or beyond. We dont have the OL or WRs to help make a QB look successful at UT. The OL and WR situation has to be radically addressed. The play calling also has to be radically addressed in order to play to whatever strengths we have on this team. Screens, TE work, quick slants, etc. Having our QB sit in the pocket waiting for WRs to get open and either miss the pass or drop the pass cant be play called until they can prove themselves.
On defense. Not really sure how to fix this problem. DL get pushed around, LB play seems erratic and our zone coverage is not very good.
When we look to make excuses, we often find the most favorable and optimistic example possible to justify the excuse in play.
This team should not be 4-4.

You can’t talk out of both sides of your mouth and be right.I didn't say he sucked.
I wrote that he has been struggling.
I can't hold your hand through this, but I guess I can try.
Except that literally hasn't happened. When we try to be dramatic, we often find the most sensational and pessimistic example possible to justify the narrative.
Baylor added two offensive line starters through the portal. The biggest failure on Sark was not upgrading the O line during the spring. You can’t evaluate QB play when you can’t control the line of scrimmage or run the football.
I mean, maybe you watched a different decade than I did.No, people all day have been acting like Sark inherited a program full of players that have no idea what winning looks like and that the talent was incredibly poor.
That's hogwash. This program was at the pretty good level and couldn't go higher.
It's currently .500.
Agreed. But, there's understanding it and then there's lapping it up.I get it from them. What other choice do they have?
Listening to fans brainwash themselves into actually believing it is the surprising part.
what is my agenda? You can’t talk out of both sides of your mouth and be right.
It’s become clear that you have an agenda.
I don't think this is about protecting him at all.@Ketchum
Apologize if this has been asked/answered but…. Is it possible that Sark realized during/after Arkansas that putting Card behind this line the rest of this season would do more harm to his development (confidence, developing bad habits while always getting chased, etc) than not playing him? In a season of nothing but bad options along the line maybe he felt CT could win enough games and that he and the staff can fix the Oline issues (coaching, portal, recruiting) to position Card better for success in 2022?
No.@Ketchum are you still confident that we land Campbell?
The last three years were not.I mean, maybe you watched a different decade than I did.
I thought the last decade was a tragedy for Texas football. And I think I'm right.
You started going after Sark right after Card got benched.what is my agenda?
Ketch, can you at least acknowledge that Texas needed a whole bunch of breaks to go their way to finish 9-3 last year, and a whole bunch of breaks have gone against them in the last three weeks? So on average they could easily have been .500 last year and could easily be 6-1 right now. I’m not saying that to argue Sark is not doing poorly because I think the fact that he hasn’t been able to closeout the last three games for sure raises red flags about his ability as a head coach. But I also don’t think this team was on the verge of being a true championship contender when he arrived. No, people all day have been acting like Sark inherited a program full of players that have no idea what winning looks like and that the talent was incredibly poor.

I completely understand anyone who wants to keep rolling with Casey because he waited his turn and seems like a good kid, but any team in this situation rolls with the younger guy and hopes he catches on for the next season.
If not, we're in the exact same spot in a month and we exhaust all options.
lol... wut?You started going after Sark right after Card got benched.
@Ketchum are you still confident that we land Campbell?
But do you know?I don't think this is about protecting him at all.
Breaks are part of football. The 2005 team caught breaks to go undefeated and win the national title and it was one of the best in the history of the sport.Ketch, can you at least acknowledge that Texas needed a whole bunch of breaks to go their way to finish 9-3 last year, and a whole bunch of breaks have gone against them in the last three weeks? If Hudson is the starter for the next two years, and isn’t good enough to enter the NFL Draft after those two years, that would be considered a massive failure, correct? @Ketchum, agree or disagree?
@Ketchum as usual, good column. I love all the content that you and the OB crew provide on a weekly basis, but after Saturday's loss there's nothing OB can say or write about this team that will interest me for the next 10 months. Not your fault, just the state of the program.
I'm just transparent.I think I've managed to piece it together.
Ketch has detected a Pravda-esque effort by Bellmont to control the narrative, and he's going all out to be an independent journalist. Being an independent journalist means exagerrating in the opposite direction of Pravda. So if Pravda says X = 100, then Ketch is morally obligated to say X = 0.
In fact X = 51.2
Yes.But do you know?
No, I didn’t make it up. You’ve beat the drum louder and louder with each passing week. You started off this week by going right after Casey…..for the III time.lol... wut?
Link and quote, please. You just ****ing made that up.
disagree.
wut?
No, I didn’t make it up. You’ve beat the drum louder and louder with each passing week. You started off this week by going right aftet
It’s not hard to see.
I shouldn’t have to hold your hand through this….
