Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (An open letter to Sark)

I think teams know they can throw Sark out of his comfort zone by simply doing something unexpected.

If we’re keeping it real, this board eviscerated Mensa when he broke out the “something we didn’t see on film” after both losses to Maryland. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen to Sark

Shocked because Messi took a DNP coming off of the International break?
He took the game before this weekend off and many thought he would play...sold the place out only to announce he stayed back in Miami.

I honestly thought Sark was a bigger contributor to Ewers than the WR drops even before you put out this information

1) Washington was the only top 10 team that looked impressive. It was truly a survival Saturday and we survived.

2) Wyoming isn’t great, but they may very well win the MWC. They would beat Sparty.

3) Jahdae Barron is the best player on our team. Yes, team.

4) Bijan Robinson is the best RB in the league already.

5) Micah Parsons is the best player in the world!

1. Washington is very good.

2. maybe, we'll see.

3. He's not better than Worthy. Stop.

4. Very possible.

5. Very possible.

There’s a lot worse things than being 3-0 while your first 3 opponents have 3 combined losses, all belonging to you.

Not what I wanted last night but give me that over a 56-3 romp or worse, a loss headed in to conference play. This team from coaching staff to players needs to be always on. Always going big.

Lots of execution errors last night but prob none more glaring than Sark putting his own offense in a box with the lack of creativity. He muffed that whole game outside a couple of series.

I like Sark and hope he succeeds, but the fact that Sark has to still learn coaching lessons is a real source of frustration. Of course, he’s the guy that left Reggie Bush on the sideline on 4th and 2 against USC, so I guess I should just get used to his brain farts.

Also, I remember Grant Teaff’s final game…if that happens again……….

Can you show me the full list of games in his career against a 3-3-5?
Not just any 3-3-5, but the three high safety "flyover" or "Odd Dime" scheme first developed by Jon Heacock.

2021 Season: Arkansas (5.1), Iowa St (3.6), Oklahoma St (6.6)
2022 Season: Iowa St (6.6) , TCU (4.4), Oklahoma St (6.5), Kansas St (6.4)
2023 Season: Wyoming (6.2)

Yards/Attempt in parentheses.

I agree on all but #3.

I think Worthy is the best player on offense and Barron is the best player on defense. I can see others taking the "best player" spot on defense by the end of the season but I don't see anyone knocking Worthy out of the "best offensive" player and probably best player on the team.

Good thing is there are several players on both sides of the ball that have the ability to challenge for "best" titles this season.

That 1984 Baylor game was depressing. Bears collecting INTs all over the field. Texas really stopped being Texas and tanked the rest of the season. Didn’t regain our mojo until Mack showed up.

We blaming Sark for that?
