Is Texas at a point now where the talent can compensate for average coaching to win 9-10 games per year?
i.e., sorta like the Mack 2000’s era

Burke seemed to have just made more plays, while Sorrell hasn’t seemed to progress any from previous seasons. Maybe Burke stood out more because I expected more from Sorrell and he was a disappointment sack wise.a. How was he superior to Sorrell? and was he really a difference maker?
It'l never happen. WE'll see no punishment with teeth. At least relegation to League 1 would mean I don't have to watch those money whipping, blood on their hands pr*cks on my TV for three years.
Yes.Is Texas at a point now where the talent can compensate for average coaching to win 9-10 games per year?

I would much prefer a Geddy Lee situation where he's still sharp as ever but just can't hit the notes. Sigh.It sucks when the legends lose their fast balls.
Sure seems so with the influx of talent the last two years.Yes.
Burke went through long stretches of the season where he disappeared. Two sacks in the first 2 games and 3.5 in the final 12 gamesBurke seemed to have just made more plays, while Sorrell hasn’t seemed to progress any from previous seasons. It's a top 4 roster in college football.Sure seems so with the influx of talent the last two years.
Having endured the end of the Mack era, Charlie, and Herman, I’d say this recent Texas football feels different.
Interesting. 90% chance of making the CFP?It's a top 4 roster in college football.
Interesting. 90% chance of making the CFP?
…considering the expanded playoff. If Texas has a top 4 roster, then it should be capable of stumbling into the CFP.
I 100% agree, but he still has potential for some progression. I feel like Sorrell is who he is and Burke basically outperformed him stat wise last year.Burke went through long stretches of the season where he disappeared. Two sacks in the first 2 games and 3.5 in the final 12 games
He needs to prove that he can be a more consistent player.
Time for a super blue chip count update?I would say 75%. They are behind UGA and Ohio State, but even/slightly ahead of Alabama.

I did one in january, I'll do an update after this Portal window closes.Time for a super blue chip count update?

Pope is an offensive genius. He actually knows X’s and O’s. Doesn’t just roll the ball out like Cal…he mentioned having a GM for NIL…college football and basketball has changed…gonna take a collaboration of both business and smart minded folks now to win big. Recruiting one and done 18 yr olds will not work anymore…Brand new world for Kentucky basketball, for better or worse.

That's fuggin' brilliant! LOeffingL(Sell) It's more like in Urban Cowboy when Bud wakes up next to two women whose names he can't remember.
Looks like Lagway definitely made an impression.I was actually at the Florida spring game this weekend. I was actually taken a back at how relatively small and outdated the swamp was — but more so it made me be impressed with Texas set up. DKR, media team…really is the best.
All being said you can absolutely tell how it can be a hard place to play and the fans are loyal to the bone.
Also Lagway can play. Big guy!
It worked that way in the 90s, too.In college, in the 70's, if we asked a girl back to our dorm room to hear an Al Green album, and she said yes, you knew it was time for the panties to come off!
I can't imagine it for Jordan right now.Can you imagine a world where Jordan and Scottie are their best for 5-10 years and owning the golf world in glorious burnt orange? I can…..
Expanded Version of Buy/Sellg. I don't want to live in a moment of recency bias, but that knock-out by Max Holloway might have been the greatest knockout in the sport I have ever seen. Up 4-1 on the scorecards, he stood in the middle of the Octagon with 15 seconds to go and dared Justin Gaethe to throw haymakers with him, only to emphatically knock him out with one second left on the clock. I still can't believe it.
... There's no question to me that the lack of buzz on Vernon Broughton and to a degree Alfred Collins is a disappointment. The hope had to be that one of the two would step up and take over a piece of domain as theirs and I just don't think that has happened.
As arguably his toughest prior critic, I woukd answer yes. Is Jake Majors the most under-appreciated player on the entire team? Very possible.
Al Green on repeat in your Uber for the win -In college, in the 70's, if we asked a girl back to our dorm room to hear an Al Green album, and she said yes, you knew it was time for the panties to come off!
.. Is Myles Garrett going to Canton when his career is over? He's the only player in the NFL to have 10+ sacks in every season since 2018. He has 88.5 career sacks, he's a 5X All-Pro (3X first-team) and has a Defensive Player of the Year Award in the cupboard. Yes, right?
His hometown is very proud of him. Hope he starts.Looks like Lagway definitely made an impression.
