Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (None of this should be surprising...)

Agree that it took Mack leaving for him to get his mojo back.

Not sure where the money comes from to buy Herman out so not sure there will be a change absent a real disaster like 4-6.

I disagree that Meyer will not deal with The Eyes issue. He will have no choice. It will take him less than ten minutes.

We need to lose some games. I’m not opening rooting for losses but to say it’s a silver lining would be an understatement.

Short term disappointment for long term benefits.

Go away. Come back after all this has been sorted out.

Sorted out? The sooner he’s fired the better for the program unless you’re disillusioned enough to think Herman needs another year.

Losses increase the likelihood and expedite the firing. It’s not complicated.

Ketch, I loved your analysis of the team's talent, or lack thereof. I would also add wide receiver to that as well. Yes, we do have some talent there, but so far it seems to be highly overrated IMO. Receivers just don't seem to be able to get open enough to help the overall offense, especially the running game.

Ketch your first article says Simpson was from Galveston Lee High School???????

@Ketchum - you just knowTexas leadership is definitely gonna **** this one up and Texas will either continue to suck under Herman or it will be some other non factor coach for the foreseeable future.

fool me once, fool me twice. CDC and crew need to hit a HR ( a la hiring Urban) or they are going to lose and disenfranchise a huge chunk of the fan base (including BMDs).

hell maybe the best thing to happen would be for them to not get the money for the SEZ pledges. Maybe that would finally shake things up and open their damn eyes.
All of that is fair until it is no longer fair.

Is that how it goes, @drunk randoke ?

Part of the conversation preseason was what would be a successful season / on that end I felt like the bar was being set too low
The bar is always the bar IMO.

Big 12 title or a wasted season.

On paper, the position is loaded. It's just unproven and mostly hurt all the time.
