It's not fair, but those are the rules.Great list. Stating the obvious but numbers 2 through 10 become very meh if we have an 8-4 season.

You should check it out. Shirley MacLaine plays a nun…who drinks…and smokes…and cusses.Never seen it.
I'll add it to the list. You should check it out. Shirley MacLaine plays a nun…who drinks…and smokes…and cusses.
When you said none of that garbage and baked beans, you moved up the mod list to the top spot 😎We're a small club, but we have members out there.![]()
Nice one this week.
No. 10 - The List: Clint Eastwood movies ...
I did the impossible.
I took all of the Westerns, all of the war movies, all of the movies with orangutans, and I squeezed them all together into one Top 10 list.
You guys said that Clint couldn't be done. I say ... enjoy!
Honorable mention: Where Eagles Dare, For a Few Dollars More, A Perfect World, Million Dollar Baby, A Fist Full of Dollars, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Play Misty For Me, The Beguiled and Kelly's Heroes
10. Gran Torino
Watched it this weekend for the first time and decided that it needed to make the list.
9. In the Line of Fire
Eastwood vs. John Malkovich ... yes, please.
8. The Outlaw Josey Wales
You can't have an Eastwood Top 10 without this one making the list somewhere.
7. Heartbreak Ridge
It's quite possible that I have seen this movie more than 500 times and can quote it more than any other movie on this list. Don't @ me about its realism.
6. Any Which Way You Can
I don't care what any of you say, this was the movie that made me love Eastwood as a kid. The great Philo Beddoe (a former OPB alias of yours truly) vs. Jack Wilson.
5. The Bridges of Madison County
I don't care what any of you say, Clint created an absolute tender-hearted masterpiece, creating more on-screen chemistry with Meryl Streep than he ever thought was possible with Sondra Locke.
4. Escape From Alcatraz
Per Wikipedia, Quentin Tarantino called it "both fascinating and exhilarating... cinematically speaking." Yours truly, agrees with QT.
3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The film that truly made Eastwood a star.
2. Dirty Harry
The world was introduced to Harry Callahan and police thrillers were never the same.
1. Unforgiven
Quite simply, for my money it's the best Western ever made. There really wasn't a strong inner-debate for the No. 1 spot.
... The Heat with Damian Lillard wins the NBA title last month.
The In-Laws is good, or at least I thought all those years ago.I've seen none of that.![]()

Lillard is a wildly important upgrade for the Heat in that series.I found it funny that you said this. I said the exact same thing to my 13 and 14 year olds and it was one of the few things that they agreed with each other in saying that they didn't think so. They couldn't really articulate why but they don't think Dame and Jimmy will be able to win it all together. I'm not sure if they win it or not but it definitely goes 7.
It's the most popular content piece on the site. I'm probably not going to switch things up with it.I have a request— please post your list as as a separate thread.
I want to read all the sports related comments but have to wade through all the other posts.
Maybe it is just me - - I like potato salad.
I kind of remember that and I didn’t see it. I thought he was a good combination of power and speed. I was wrong. That was one I was sniffing out in real time. Rivals didn't listen to me.
Oh well, thanks for replying. It's the most popular content piece on the site. I'm probably not going to switch things up with it.
It's like being told to move OT posts to another forum.
No, I understood what you were saying.Oh well, thanks for replying.
I wasn’t suggesting that you not do it but just separate it into a different thread.
Def go watch The In Laws when you have some free time. It’s silly but worth your time. Dude has been around acting and writing for quite some time. He is an institution in Hollywood.I've seen none of that.![]()
I was sad that I wasn't better prepared to do a top 10 list.Def go watch The In Laws when you have some free time. It’s silly but worth your time. Dude has been around acting and writing for quite some time. He is an institution in Hollywood.
ThisOJW not at #1 is questionable, not in top 3 makes me question whether Ketch is even an American.
Gotcha. In today's day and age, I'd imagine he'd portal out before switching positions at Texas, wouldn't you? Even if he does has the build of a DE.He was a 5-star quarterback that lifted so much weight that he turned himself into a fullback because he got too big,

I have yet to see Unforgiven. Shame on me. I will look for it on one of the sites.
Even I'VE seen Unforgiven.Wow. @Suchomel , is that you?
They both suck but give me cole slaw.- Cole slaw is way more overrated to me. It's rare to taste good cole slaw.
I think people are writing off Maalik to early as well. I know it was only one practice, but he looked like the best player on the field during the spring game. He made need to add consistency, but the talent is there. There are bad outcomes (like injuries and lack of development from the others) that could lead to him getting a “shot”. Once he’s had the shot, who knows. It seems like injuries are never projected but happen a lot. Next research project: what percentage of seasons do QB’s play all the games (not sustain an injury that has them miss time)?- If Maalik and Dan Kendra are never uttered in the same sentence again, that's bad news.
- I give Maalik a good chance to win the job in 2024.
- Cole slaw is way more overrated to me. It's rare to taste good cole slaw.
Exactly right - although in Sark's defense it may not have been entirely a play calling issue. It also seemed like our offensive execution got sloppy in the late part of games.I believe the success of this season, and the rest of Sark's career as a head coach, rests on his ability to actually enact last season's "All Gas No Brakes" mantra. I was disappointed with his M.O. of playing not to lose in the 2nd half of games, crouched on the sidelines looking at his clipboard.
I have very rarely tasted good cole slaw. It usually ends up in the trash. They both suck but give me cole slaw.
I've always HATED potato salad, as in won't touch it, but I had some at some little mom and pop BBQ place in St. Martin a couple years ago and it was freaking fantastic. I couldn't get enough of it. Not sure what that lady did with hers but I'd kill for the recipe.
How many playoff wins?Dallas has 25 wins in the last 2 years. They are not a "mediocre" team.
Outstanding article. Don’t know about Ford being better than Tommy Nobis or even Britt Hager but maybe they aren’t the “modern era”. Malik Jefferson and Jordan Hicks were fun to watch. Most under rated LB of all time had to be Robin Sendlein or Bruce Scholtz. Winfred Tubbs was tough as nails.
We're getting close to the point where everyone just wants to see it on the field. Offseason stories are cool. However, every team "wins" the offseason. I'm sure Kansas is full of the same optimism right now. I get it.I’m a little jaded on ‘great off seasons’ at this point. All these guys need to prove it on the field.

Changing positions is NEVER going to happen. He's a quarterback.Gotcha. In today's day and age, I'd imagine he'd portal out before switching positions at Texas, wouldn't you? Even if he does has the build of a DE.
You are so weird. They both suck but give me cole slaw.
