Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Permission to Dream Colossally)

Great write-up of the current fun times. Love your Hanks list. You’ve Got Mail is better than Sleepless, and Big is simply amazing. I mean, he absolutely nails being a middle school boy. It’s perfection. I’m a boomer and don’t think Gump is an all time great film. Tons of fun, moving at times and Hanks is great, but editing Forrest into historic moments is a schtick that ultimately detracts from the film. But Lordy, what a body of work. Truly an all-timer.

Jenny was a victim and victims often make more victims. It's part of a cycle that often never stops.
Agreed

But people don’t describe men with the same history and actions in that manner

She’s an adult and she’s a villain who was a victim in childhood

Big and Castaway and others above Forrest Gump. Ok, but don't be shocked when people tell you how far wrong you are. Forrest Gump was one of the best acting jobs ever done.
Is the list TH performances or TH movies? I ranked my favorite TH movies. And I can’t be wrong. My list ranks my faves. I’m positive I know how much I like each. ;)

Sure, they do. Maybe not all people, but certainly some.

Villain feels more than a little strong.

I understand that. But, how many?
I’m done with it.

On a related note wife and I are committed to watching all the Phillip S Hoffman movies we have not seen before end of year. Just watched Jack Goes Boating. Solid flick. He made a lot of indies like this one.

The shouldn't have gone to the SEC. It won't ever be the same.
Not sure if they [OU] would have wanted to go to the SEC on their own idea, but when Texas decided to go, OU probably thought they had no choice.

I am sure they thought they could dominate a watered down Big12 but the TV payout would be so much less they would be way behind other national rivals. And it would be harder to recruit vs a Texas that was now in the SEC.

I think they are destined to be a middle of the pack SEC from now on, hoping to be the 5th or 6th team from the SEC making a 12 team playoff.

Yes, on DT and DE.

The 2008 corners were Ryan Palmer and Deon Beasley...

Blake Gideon doesn't start on this team.

The WR unit in 2008 had a strong top 2 and not a ton beyond that.

Colt would be the third most talented quarterback between the two teams.
First lol on Colt

Second
2008 had
Chaykie Brown
Aaron Williams
Earl Thomas for the defensive backfield
You can pick a 4th because it won’t matter.
Besides for MM who can hang with that lineup on the 24 team?

I can’t disagree with the Hanks list. My favorite Hanks movie is “Joe Versus the Volcano”. Saw it million times on cable. Three versions of Meg Ryan in her prime.

RB - Savion Red (Nevada): 10 carries for 117 yards and 2 TD in a 49-16 win over Eastern Washington

Does Texas or Red wish they had each other with our current RB injury situation? Would he have brought value to this team?

I think I’m now to a point where it would be a bit of a disappointment if Sark doesn’t win a NC. And that’s not a slam, it’s because his ceiling has raised in my mind. I think he’s one of the top overall program builders left in the game (still needs to slam the door on that but…) but when I look at the current landscape, he’s one of a small handful that are the top candidates to win one, and he’s not near retirement.
