There’s nothing tough about this conclusion. Don’t conflate the legal issues with the non legal questions about whether he should have been there in the first place. The rioters shouldn’t have been there either. Have his assailants been charged with battery as they should? No. This isn’t the thread for a discussion about parenting skills and whether his mom knew where he was. He’s been correctly found not guilty under the law.

The problem is people can’t take their emotions out of the issue. Facts are facts he was attacked. Did he go there knowing this was a possibility…obviously. But what can’t be proven is his intentions on killing people. He also didn’t go shooting anyone and everyone. So facts are he walked in carrying an AR and he was attacked and used his weapon in self defense. I don’t feel for any of them because if he was left alone and ignored it’s possible nothing at all would’ve happened.
