I just saw the documentary. It talks about how violent Houston was in the late 1970s especially in Hispanic neighborhoods. The residents didn’t speak English well and distrusted the police. Lots of crime went unsolved until they left their patrol beats on a trial basis and became bilingual detectives. Long story short, they solved tons of cases. It’s a good documentary if you like true crime or Houston history. I had no idea that Houston was that violent back then (I wasn’t born yet). Have any of you seen it or remember Houston from back then?
