Anwar asked the question that some of you felt like he wouldn't.
Only took a lil prodding

FYI, it looks like the lowest possible efficiency number a guy can have is -200.
I did not know that until today.
Not the thing you ever want to have to look up.The fact you had to find out speaks volumes
What were the exact questions?Shout out to Brian Davis for asking a late qb question.
We're Texas.... Sort ofNot the thing you ever want to have to look up.
He asked if there was a plan to play Hudson more now that his redshirt was used up.What were the exact questions?
That wasnt the sort of question people wanted. Or even close really. That’s not even in the area code of a tough question. He asked if there was a plan to play Hudson more now that his redshirt was used up.
Sark didn't commit to anything other than to keep working with him.
It was as good as it got. That wasnt the sort of question people wanted. Or even close really.
Well your post above said Anwar asked the tough question we didnt think anyone would. Not accurate. It was as good as it got.
I meant outside of Anwar specifically asking what was the difference between the treatment both quarterbacks have received after poor performances.Well your post above said Anwar asked the tough question we didnt think anyone would. Not accurate.
Well comparatively his question was like asking Mrs Lincoln if she enjoyed the play.I meant outside of Anwar specifically asking what was the difference between the treatment both quarterbacks have received after poor performances.
I thought it still provided a revealing answer. Sark didn't sound like a guy that was remotely close to pulling the plug on Thompson for Card.Well comparatively his question was like asking Mrs Lincoln if she enjoyed the play.
Coaching before this staff? I would agree with you. Tom Herman in his last two years was asleep at the wheel and more worried about woke tweets than running his team. Tom Herman in years one and two was maybe too hard too fast but he was on a semi decent path. Herb Hand and the circus of staffs did us no favors in recruiting and development save for Bijan and Hudson.
I dont blame this staff for whats happening. I sure dont like being 4-3 and I was pretty hot after these losses, but I have to give these guys time and I have to recognize we just dont have the players right now. What worries me long term is (outside of the full on SEC approach I would be happy with) how do we get the pieces we need, especially on
There are other intangibles besides numbers when playing QB. Obviously the coaches and players feel more comfortable with Casey.I mean... he could have just posted Casey's poor numbers, right?
They won with poor quarterback play that day.
agreed. There are other intangibles besides numbers when playing QB. Obviously the coaches and players feel more comfortable with Casey.
You can scoff but….
Jimbo stuck with Calzada through an atrocious three game stretch and now look at him.
you can say his only other option was a walk-on but hey it was pretty bad ppl wanted the walk on. He never even pulled Calzada from a series and now their offense is reaping the benefits.
our guy had two bad quarters and he can’t even see the field again even though his replacement has had longer stretches of poor performances.
thats an issue @Ketchum
Sark could’ve set the whole thing back by being reactionary
agreed.
but, their confirmation bias can be a problem if it invests too much misplaced comfort.
It's way too early to say that's happened here, I'm just saying it doesn't mean much if you're losing games and performing poorly enough to play big roles in losses.
So him getting sacked on backers and DL running untouched negates his running for first downs to keep drives going….ok good talk buddy. Glad you can look at a stat sheet and rewrite what actually happens in your head“Knows when to take off” - he has 9 carries for -4 yards. He hasnt been taking off at all. But he seems to be really at running right into defenders.
No. I can actually see. Try it. Strange how you and your fellow clowns had an entirely different take on the same problem when Card was playing. So him getting sacked on backers and DL running untouched negates his running for first downs to keep drives going….ok good talk buddy. I agree. AsI said in this thread, Texas' record isn't any better right now with CT than it would be with Card. His answer in the pc was bullshit about Casey earning the longer leash. He’s only earned it cause of stats compiled against rice and tcu.
hudson wasn’t given that
Go look at all of Casey’s “runs” then and remove the sacks from flat out jailbreaks. You might be intrigued. I’m old enough to remember how many times he extended drives and frankly have better things to do than argue back and forth regarding what the stat line says with zero context of what actually occurred. If you want to quote the stat line. Go pull each “carry” and chart it with what occurred. That tells the actual story. From reading your posts it’s clear you dont like facts or whole truths so I don’t expect much.No. I can actually see. Try it. I did. He had one run for a first down. You are the one who doesn’t like facts.Go look at all of Casey’s “runs” then and remove the sacks from flat out jailbreaks. You might be intrigued. That’s every game?I did. He had one run for a first down. You are the one who doesn’t like facts.
Well I was trying to be positive. And your response originally was to the OSU stats. Now that you are goalpost moving - The OU game he had zero. That’s every game?
I do after devastating losses back to back. You're telling me to stop picking and choosing stats. right as you pick and choose stats?
That's rich.
I literally just wrote a column where I broke down CT's play by quarter. I left nothing out.
Is it possible that you need a hug?
That’s fair, but even when you do a comparison excluding plays Bijan caught the ball on, Casey wins statistically and it’s not even close. Why do you only point to the good stuff?
and, If you’re going to discount Cards numbers when Bijan was involved then you have to do the same with Casey’s numbers.
Did you check the rankings today? Better yet, has Oklahoma St lost any games this season? They are much better outfit than Arky this seasonIf I had been the Qb we would have beaten OSU. He was that bad. His QBR was 12 - all based on pitch forward passes to Bijan. Funny how you and Anwar want to pretend that game, his second half v OU, and his TCU game didnt matter because of one half v OU.
I guess the Cowboys should have stuck with Clint Longley too.
And …minor detail - OSU wasnt a top 10 team. They were 12. Arkansas became a top 10 team after us. So I guess you will count that as well.
That's fair. Although those roles are being shared by all 22 players on the field. Unfortunately we just have to weather the storm and hope for some type of recruiting momentum. Evaluation, recruiting and player development can't be our kryptonite forever, can it?agreed.

Laughable are the takes you fools and @Ketchum are making.Your takes ITT are laughable. Thanks for the Monday morning comedy! And by all means please continue.
To his detriment to be sure.1. Kids notice when they aren't treated the same.
2. The OL was needed this year just like the linebackers.... Sark just ignored it.
Scuba Steve is wrong on this one.Laughable are the takes you fools and @Ketchum are making.
Sark’s presser he was asked why Casey isn’t held to the same standard as Hudson Card. He provided y’all the same answer - he’s earned the right to not be on a short leash citing OU and his more extensive track record at quarterback. The joke is on all you Hudson Card fanboys. Thank God none of y’all are coaching or you’d set the program back even more.
Sark sees Hudson Card is not the solution. That’s all that matters.
