Please don’t say that.It's a possibility.
I'm not sure I would do it if I were him.

I could be wrong but I think Sark gets three years at a minimum if he can continue to recruit well - like it or not we are in a total rebuild.Ewers could save Sark’s tenure another year with having a shot at year 3…
Does 6-6 or worse get him sent packing next year???
It would be great to have five of these guys back, just not Foster.Of the 12 non-super seniors with an extra year of eligibility remaining, the players that are likely the most interesting to Sarkisian are linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, defensive back Anthony Cook, cornerback D'Shawn Jamison, cornerback Josh Thompson, safety BJ Foster and kicker/punter Cameron Dicker.
And one of them is a punter (glad we have Dicker though) but the roster is just bad.5-7 players we care about keeping essentially. the rest are replaceable .holy fvck that's pathetic
Avoiding collapse would have required several strokes of good fortune. But Fortuna disrespects the team because the team lacks the resolve to stand up to her. You'll forgive me if I reject the notion that the collapse from this season was unavoidable.
If you took the time to carefully watch BJ Foster’s 2021 tape, you’d 100% agree with Sark’s certain decision to NOT invite BJ back in 2022.Coaches keep playing him a lot.
I think it's a mistake to give up on his skill set. You may be right--he may not be the answer ever, let alone next season. But we need to let Card develop. He has some skills that are worth investing in.Card isn’t going to be the answer next year even if he stays and makes progress.
Agreed. But, I’m assuming Sark needs next season badly, with the pending move to the SEC and the utter collapse of this year. Card isn’t a guy that will lead them to 9 wins next year with the cast of players we should anticipate. I don’t see Sark pulling in a Beard type of portal haul, which is kind of what he needs.I think it's a mistake to give up on his skill set. See, I think that's the wrong way to play it.Agreed. But, I’m assuming Sark needs next season badly, with the pending move to the SEC and the utter collapse of this year. But with the SEC move coming, I can’t see the powers having patience and Sark hasn’t given them reason to believe he’s capable of something great as a HC, ever. Next season he needs a huge year. I think the thinking will be “just because you moved the bar down really low, doesn’t mean we start the bar there moving forward.” I think they need the genius they think they hired to start showing some bite before we get embarrassed in the SEC. Year One will matter.See, I think that's the wrong way to play it.
We're going to be terrible next year, regardless. As bad as we are this year, we are going to be that bad next year barring something really unforeseen. Nine wins is a pipe dream. Six wins should be counted a great success.

I think "the powers" are out of aces, on a train bound for nowhere. They have no cards left to play. But with the SEC move coming, I can’t see the powers having patience and Sark hasn’t given them reason to believe he’s capable of something great as a HC, ever. That’s good enough for me to watch- I’ve seen most DeNiro movies but not that one, something I’ll correct as soon as I can watch Netflix tonightEdit -
Midnight Run is in my top 10 movies of all time, one spot ahead of Citizen Kane.
I’ve seen it at least 20 times.
It’s on Netflix fyi, fwiw.
Good movie, great cast.Check out Bang The Drum Slowly. Does not make the top ten but definitely shows DeNiro’s promise as actor.
Again, that may be the reasonable line of thinking, but there will be appearances that matter, even for the moment. The idea of a “new shiny thing” coach going into the SEC with all that blind hope matters in a situation like that compared to the “hey let’s hope everyone sees our unproven long term logical vision.” Perception is reality in many cases. Having something to sell moving in will matter.I think "the powers" are out of aces, on a train bound for nowhere. They have no cards left to play.
We need a card on the river, the pot odds are not good, and the best percentage play is to fold and live to see another hand. It makes zero sense to jam 'all in' here.
The fact that we are "going to the SEC" next year happens to be a bit of unfortunate timing. It doesn't change the basic strategy of the situation.
