True, but I see Ewers like I see Ehlinger, peaking after his second year.Cases for both can be made. One is a bird in hand and the other is not.

Respectfully, you are moving the goal post. The question is not if there are schools that also play football and would take arch. Your initial position was you could not see him staying. Where is this magical place that has an elite qb coach, and will guarantee him q b 1 position without sixty seconds of tape? Where is the evidence his desire to start immediately at such a place exceeds his desire remain in Austin, close to home, surrounded by blue chips. Read his dads comments last week. Where is the evidence he definitely would even start. So, can you see him staying, yes.Vanderbilt, Miss st, Auburn. Both of these guys would start at those schools in my opinion. This is just in the SEC. There are plenty of programs that would take the upside of either player over what they currently have, which is nothing.
I never once said anything about coaching staffs. I said that he could start at a lot of P5 schools. That’s it. I think a lot of programs would take both. Your framing is different than mine. I don’t think Arch will sit two years in a row, but that’s my opinion.Respectfully, you are moving the goal post. The question is not if there are schools that also play football and would take arch. I concede you didn’t mention coaching staffs; hence, the problem. I did. You can’t see arch staying. Duly noted.I never once said anything about coaching staffs. Yeah, that does sound really stupid. What were they thinking? They had players getting UT tats after the game.
I just think it makes logical sense that he wants to start or at least compete for a starting spot and not wait another year. Just my thoughts on the matter.I concede you didn’t mention coaching staffs; hence, the problem. I did. You can’t see arch staying. Duly noted.
So, the absolute worst teams in major conferences...Vanderbilt, Miss st, Auburn. Both of these guys would start at those schools in my opinion. This is just in the SEC. There are plenty of programs that would take the upside of either player over what they currently have, which is nothing.
Easily, as it turned out. You’re right. My god, how is Back in the Saddle not in the Top 10, much less honorable mention?
why?True, but I see Ewers like I see Ehlinger, peaking after his second year.
I'm on it.TCU - Josh Hoover (120.3 efficiency rating - 10th in the Big 12)
Iowa State - Rocco Becht (134.4 efficiency rating - 7th in the Big 12)
Texas Tech - Behren Morton (133.7 efficiency rating)
Gonna need to see this broken down by pressured and non-pressured, Ketch
Lol @Ketchum my original b/s question this week was “ MM hitting those long balls should be reason enough for Ewers to stay another year.” Seems you did it for me anyway. I was afraid I’d get crapped on for even suggesting Ewers should stay
That they were a made team.Yeah, that does sound really stupid. What were they thinking?
He’s not improving on the things that would make him elite. He doesn’t see the field well, which is why he’s a checkdown machine. He doesn’t throw with anticipation. He injury prone. I don’t think he magically gets better in any of the areas that I listed.why?
The question was name three teams and I did. I did t say they were great, but they’d start there. So, the absolute worst teams in major conferences...
and what are his positives? He’s not improving on the things that would make him elite. He doesn’t see the field well, which is why he’s a checkdown machine. He doesn’t throw with anticipation. He injury prone. I don’t think he magically gets better in any of the areas that I listed.
Because they otherwise have shit. Name 1 semi-good team. The question was name three teams and I did. I did t say they were great, but they’d start there.
Yet you question Rangers fans for wondering why the first in a lifetime achievement doesn’t make the list of big happenings?I don't really hide my unbridled passion for Liverpool.

Auburn is a decent program that they would start at.Because they otherwise have shit. Name 1 semi-good team.
He’s a game manager who doesn’t turn the ball over.and what are his positives?
But, not a good team, which is the point I'm making. Neither are ready for high level play.Auburn is a decent program that they would start at.
You think Arch's floor is Ewers' ceiling?Ketch, I think the issue some of us have with Quinn coming back next year is related to the idea that we think his ceiling is limited. He's a very good QB at the college level but I'm not sure that he will ever live up to the ranking he had coming out of high school. He just doesn't have that it factor that guys like Bryce Young, Caleb Williams and CJ Stroud displayed from the moment they hit the field. Young and Williams each won the Heisman in year 2. And CJ was in New York in year 2. Does Arch fit that mold? We have no idea, but I think his floor is sort of where Ewers is right now. Ewers can make all the throws when things are on schedule but the only thing he can do when things break down is run. He also lacks accuracy on the deep ball which limits the effectiveness of Sark's offense.
That's it?He’s a game manager who doesn’t turn the ball over.
I’d say Auburn is having a rough few years but it’s a program that has had success and might be a solid program soon. Not many QBs play at a high level in year one. I would rather give it a go with Arch and build something special than going with a game manager who’s losing all of his weapons. But, not a good team, which is the point I'm making. Neither are ready for high level play.
Yeah… Got anything to add? I guess I don’t see what you see. He’s very good at managing the game without turning the ball over, but he’s not Colt or Vince. That's it?
I can’t believe people think a 20 year old with elite arm talent, who’s played barely a year and a half of college football, has reached his ceiling. That’s crazy lolYou think Arch's floor is Ewers' ceiling?
Quinn isn't going to stick around, and he will be taken in the first two rounds.
Ewers will have no returning weapons. Whatever he has will be a barely used Cook and portals. No way he’s taking that chance.
Slightly.
Ewers has been very good so far this season, and only the injury is preventing him from being a surefire 1st round pick. He will test exceptionally well as long as he is healed up.the only way that happens is Ewers comes back strong with no further issues and plays very good at least in the rest of our games. if Ewers is erratic and leaves he'll go 3rd at best.
Auburns qb has another year. But, not a good team, which is the point I'm making. Neither are ready for high level play.
He's not ready. His family knows it, too.I’d say Auburn is having a rough few years but it’s a program that has had success and might be a solid program soon.
