Ketch's 10 Thoughts From the Weekend (Not even The Rona changes expectations for Herman...)

T2 is just a movie. It might make a top 20 list, but let's not pretend it's some sort of all-time great movie.

This is up there for dumbest things I’ve ever read on this site. T2 just another movie...

Innovative for its time as far as special effects, great story, Arnold, I mean need I say more. Probably only put it behind Godfather 2 on your list.

Lacking the " Go to receiver" is still a huge question mark. I just can't buy the Eagles stock. @Ketchum I really want to but I'm not even sure who that might be? With the youth and without the big experienced WR, IMHO, there more questions than answers. Am I missing something?

@Ketchum, you have me confused.

You agree on the expectations regardless of COVID, but think Herman's seat is ice cold going into Year 4.

What am I missing?

While I agree with the general premise of conference title being the bare minimum for a successful season, there are absolutely shaded of gray.

For instance, I think most of us would consider 98 as a successful season despite not winning the conference or playing in a major bowl. I know I enjoyed that season more than 96. Circumstances do matter.

Those might be the expectations but the money will prevent CDC from doing anything if the expectations are not met. We better hope Herman wins because he is here for a while.

If expectations aren't met, COVID could actually expedite the process depending on how much money has already been lost.

Keeping an inferior product isn't going to make you more money the year after and the year after that.

First, your Quinn Ewers ranking.

Now, this.

It was so ahead of the game that I don't know where to start.
It was a great summer blockbuster.

It's not a better movie than Empire Strikes Back.

It's not better than Return of the King, which probably should have made the list.

He's far more proven than Duvernay was at this time last season.

There are occasional exceptions, but only occasional.

Ok, I'm being too hard on T2.

Like I said, it's a top 20 sequel on my list... Just not a Top 10 (for me) or close to a top 5.

To be fair, you also thought Black Panther was the best Marvel movie and deserved to be nominated for an Oscar, when it wasn't even the best Marvel movie of that year. (Infinity War).

It's common knowledge that T2 is one of the best sequels of all-time. You can be a contrarian if you want to, but you have movies on your list like

Super man 2
Star Trek 2
A Bourne movie

If you can T2 "just a movie" what the heck are those? I've seen all those one, and will never watch any of them a second time. Terribly average movies that barely border on entertaining.

Where are you getting that figure?

He'd be owed for for 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Technically, I'm still counting the dollars on the current deal, which include 2020. I believe it's close to 20 million after this season (13.25 in the final two years).

Well, it's a personal list.

Hence, Rocky IV.

Maybe make your own top 10 list, post it and get in the game instead of just bitching about someone else's list without putting your own opinion in your own context.;)

Not sure you can call Silence of the lambs a sequel movie. I know it’s the second book, but it was the first movie. Of course I’m not counting the made for TV movie that had The CSI guy in it.

I have a feeling we'll be discussing it soon.

Manhunter was not a made for TV movie.

Michael Mann directed the first Hannibal Lecter movie.
