In a “stunning way”?? What has he actually done yet? If he beats ou a 2nd time in a season to win the conference, then he’s done something stunning.

If we end up getting Meyer then everything is OK, or someone of equal stature (like someone from the NFL.)
Any other result is an unmitigated disaster by CDC. He should have known 2 days after the EOT/OU debacle if Meyer would be willing to come to Austin, not after he’s already hung Herman out to dry. That some READY, SHOOT, AIM kind of shit.
I agree Herman has to go now, especially after CDC’s silent treatment and rumor mill creation frenzy. But in this crazy, COVID, cash strapped year, if he’d have supported Herman when Meyer didn’t light up at the prospect of coming to Austin - when CDC should have inquired in October, then we could have kept Herman. Which would be the right move, especially if we end up 8-3.
But now, after apparently whiffing on two straight up and coming coaches, we are in a position to go for the threepeat.
Unless he has a rabbit in his hat, CDC really, really screwed this up. I really hope there’s a rabbit lurking.

Couple of things.. next big thing is Harsin.. hes proven. Franklin is a great hire because Timing matters. Hes more proven than cristobal and just like when aggy snuck in and got jimbo he was coming off a losing season.

not trying to be smartass. Trying to guage your interpretation of how CDC has handled this, considering now we know their is no plan B.
I thought we had some possibilities that would excite us.

I think CDC has been as big of a failure this season as his football coach... maybe bigger.

It's not my place to cheerlead a riot scene, but this place responds to only a few things.... anger and the threat of a loss of $$$.
I'm fascinated by the reality that checks for the SEZ project are due in eight days.
We can learn to live with not getting Urban. We can appreciate that, for once, they actually tried.
What we cant accept is losing Urban AND the shit show of the past few months AND them turning around and sticking us with a loser we know wont work. We are also tired of being a mid tier program with blue blood money and poor leadership.
Maybe we try and fail. Maybe we learn that UT is really too far gone culturally to ever be a good program again, but we know Herman isnt the answer.
I was under the impression (from one of your reports IIRC) they werent going to withhold his SEZ checks. Was I wrong or has that potentially changed?
