Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Saying the quiet part out loud)

Dude this is a message board where we discuss things... Go troll somewhere else...
Haha. Grow up and quit stating stuff as fact all the time. Why do you like to act like you know something you don't, does it make you feel important or cool?

It has been reported here several times that would have been the case... Also it is common sense... If Urban would have said yes I think it is safe to assume Herman would have been fired... LMAO...
assume all you want, doesn't make it fact.

How many years in a row can we say "we don't really know how good Riley is"? Guy has won four conference championships in a row with four quarterbacks (this year a freshman), made a great D-coordinator hire after a horrible defense his first two years, and has elevated recruiting. He is very good. Period. Texas needs to hire an upgrade to what we have now to compete.
Step 1 - Drug Riley
Step 2 - Get naked pic of Riley and Bevo
Step 3 - Show Riley pic with contract offer

Texas is only capable of those types of numbers once every four years. We must have a four-year starter as quarterback.
Texas hasn't been capable of those numbers ever outside of one Colt McCoy season in 2008.

@Ketchum

There’s a big difference between desire of donors and fans and our athletic dept clowns actually getting rid of Thomas

What % chance do you put on a new head coach in January ?
That's hard to handicap. I believe CDC would be conservative in an estimate. I believe those in the higher admin around him would say it's going to happen.

I meant Passer Rating and you know it. You COMPLETELY trashed Sam (and alienated a large chunk of your readership.in doing so). It was classless and lazy reporting of a stat without nuance. Sam was the best QB in the Big 12 and would’ve played better with a better scheme, better play calling, more time to throw and better receivers who could get open and more often win 1 on 1 battles for the football (as LIl Jordan, CJ and Devin did in previous years).
which part trashed Sam? Can your quote it?

If that's your evidence, your case is dead in the water. That clip is even more tenuosly related than the Christmas pretext of Die Hard. Not even a mention of the actual holiday you claim that the film represents.

McClane is at least traveling to see his family to celebrate CHRISTMAS.
Are you suggesting that the movie lacks Christmas chops?

What good is having a good QB if you can't block for him, provide him a running game, give him top notch WR's and give him a defense that can stop someone?
Depending on the quarterback, you can play in a national title game (see 2009).

Heard the same thing tonight. UM is still in play and UT is focusing on coaches and support staff in the final 4 he wants. As a contingency they are talking to other coaches and assistants, and some have already told us not to bother and some are listening. I was told the focus is on the final 4 (???) and NFL (???). No specific names were given, but I was told one name...Mullen was off the table. Final-4: Sark, Elliott? NFL: Rhule & Kingsbury? Could be others, but I don't know who that would be.

Hook'em
There's one you've completely wiped off the board that isn't completely wiped off the board.

Ketch, what would you say the best time is to make a move on switching head coaches... recruiting wise.
I'm not sure it matters much now. The first NSD was thought to be the big one and in reality Herman and Co., kept the class together well.

My biggest argument with this TTFTW is us being a really good QB away.

If we put half the emphasis on OL and DL recruiting and development that we put on skill positions, then I think you'd discover that getting a 165 QB rating out of most these guys wouldn't be so unheard of on the 40 acres.

We have the RB, WRs, TE and QB that we need. Find a coach who can recruit and development the guys to block for them.
All of those things are nice, but if you have the quarterback first, it lifts all other boats.

@Ketchum wont it be hard to take a good QB transfer when they see the depth chart? I mean player transfers to get more playing time hard to get that competing with Hudson card when he’s the future. Maybe st pius alumn grant gunnel will be interested I just don’t see many QBs jumping at chance at texas.
Maybe, but Texas literally has no proven players at the position.

Exactly! It’s not that big a surprise that OU has won the conference so much when they have arguably the best OL coach in the country.
It wasn't the OU offensive line that made them special (see the NFL yesterday).

On Sunday afternoon, Oklahoma’s quarterback from the 2019 season squared off against the team’s quarterback from the 2018 season, as new Eagles QB1 Jalen Hurts made his second NFL start against Kyler Murray’s Cardinals. The result was one of the most fun games of the year: Hurts and Murray combined for 744 passing yards and six touchdowns against one interception—plus 92 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. With just one field goal and one safety filling out the rest of the 33-26 final, Hurts and Murray accounted for 54 of the 59 points scored in the game.

If the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band had been at the game and played “Boomer Sooner” after every touchdown by Murray or Hurts, every successful extra point, and every first down by their offenses—I think this is the formula—they would have played Boomer Sooner at least 60 times.

For weeks he said Herman was toast, then he wasn't. He doesn't know shit other than running back and forth between sites and quoting mods. FIRE HERMAN HIRE URBAN!!

Ketch, that was your best article to date. The part about David Ash was shocking to the system!!!
